The Mystic River may look a little different this weekend… Be on the lookout, there will be more than just fish swimming in the water. But don’t worry, we don’t mean sharks. However, that is the name of the 6th annual Mystic Sharkfest Swim event going on this Saturday, July 18th from 8:30-10:00 AM.
Mystic Sharkfest Swim 2021 Details
The water race spans a 1500-meter trek that begins at Mystic Seaport, continues under the iconic Bascule Drawbridge, and finishes up at the Seaport Marine.
It’s a short walk to the bridge from The Whaler’s Inn if you wish to cheer on the racers. There’s a fee to enter the race, but free for spectators.
