Bank Square Books – For All of Your Novel Needs
Are you looking for a new summer or rainy day read? Bank Square Books here in Downtown Mystic is the place for you. This locally own gem offers a large array of books, including new releases, and local authors. This independently owned store has been a Mystic staple since 1988 with new management taking over in 2006. Their recent expansion, now featuring two storefronts, has enabled them to offer more than just books. Looking for a greeting card, game, notebook, or puzzles? You can bank on Bank Square Books.
Sit Back, Relax, and Enjoy the Read
I have grown up going to Bank Square Books for all of my literature needs. The staff is always very friendly and can help you find even the most obscure of titles. There are comfy chairs and sofas all over the store where visitors can sit and peruse the vast selection. Most appreciated by book lovers is that one never feels rushed as the staff lets customers take as much time looking for a book or reading through it on a leisurely afternoon.
Hot Coffee and a Hardcover
Just a short distance away, in Westerly, RI, check out Bank Square’s sister shop, Savoy Bookshop, and Café. Recently opened in 2016 with a partnership between Bank Square Books and the Royce Family Fund, this bookstore has two floors filled with books from top to bottom. A good cup of coffee and a book sounds like a great match. The Savoy Café sells locally sourced coffee, tea, kombucha, and pastries. A book and coffee lovers paradise, a trip to Savoy can’t be beaten! Be sure to check their events calendar when booking your next trip to Mystic for live readings, visits by local authors, and family story hours.
