Our team is passionate about finding local haunts in Mystic for our guests! So much so that occasionally we take a field trip to test out some favorites. Travel is all about adventure and we were excited to embark on a journey by swinging through the treetops. Yes, you heard that right! We had a team outing to explore the new Tree Trails Aerial Adventure Park (formally known as Fields of Fire). We donned our harness gear and prepped to conquer our fear of heights together. It’s quite the thrill and a gorgeous setting to immerse yourselves in nature; especially when the leaves are transforming into beautiful hues!
The park staff members are helpful with guiding you until you feel comfortable enough to do so on your own. The system is rigged for safety. You need to have at least one clip securely tightened to the obstacles at all times. Each course has elements for you to climb through, under, or over.

Thrilling Ziplines
With challenges come rewards. Once you complete an obstacle course, you’re met with a thrilling zipline. It’s a great way to relax and glide through the trees after completing a difficult task. You can choose to go on to the next level or stop if you feel you’ve pushed yourself to the limit.

Not only is it a physical challenge, but it pushes you to trust yourself to get you through each obstacle. My advice? Glow in the Park at Night
We experienced this adventure by day. However, Tree Trails is also open at night for an added element of fun! The entire park is aglow once the sun goes down. Climbers are decked out in light-up scrunchies and other accessories to set the vibe of the night.
There’s also typically a theme for these events where you can dress up as a favorite superhero or travel back in time to the 90s.
