The annual Mystic Outdoor Art Festival will be returning for its 63rd year this weekend! Our community is so happy to have it back again after a hiatus last year. Mystic welcomes a wide array of artists for this beloved event.
There will be different mediums of art displayed at booths set up along the streets. Be sure to take a look at the Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce’s website for a mapped-out route of the two-day event. This will also help you plan accordingly for traffic if you have any other events going on in the area. Visitors will love seeing the different mediums that each unique artist brings. New this Year: Performing Arts Stage
Did you know that M.O.A.F is the oldest festival of its kind in the Northeast? Just because it’s a long-running tradition doesn’t mean there aren’t any new traditions! A great change for this year’s Mystic Outdoor Art Festival is the performing arts stage.
Admission is free for this event. Guests are welcome to bring their own chairs or blanket to watch the artists. These shows will take place at the village green at the Mystic Seaport. The performance schedule is Friday and Saturday night from 6:30-8 pm. Check out the lineup here.

Children’s Art Installation
Another event not to miss- The Children’s Art Installation. Local students from 4 – 21 devoted their art to mindfulness of the issues we have all been facing over the past year. From global warming to COVID, to gender equality, to politics, these painted chairs invite you to sit and converse about topics that have been weighing heavy on artists and non-artists, young and old alike.
